My first artistic expressions developed several years ago when I began to create abstract expressionism using a mixed medium approach of Soft Pastel and India Ink as well as Oil Pastel and India Ink. I have only recently begun to work with Oil Paints in my artistic endeavors and I have found this medium to be well suited to my rather eclectic tastes.
I enjoy exploring subjects using a minimalist approach, obtaining depth and texture using varying tones and contrast, but my real passion lies within my works that utilize bold brushstrokes and vivid color to catch the eye and draw the observer into the painting, allowing one to experience the mood and flavor of the piece.
